Five Star Gymnastics and Cheerleading strives to provide a quality environment.
From the often un-noticed aspects of cleaning the gym, to laying out the apparatus within the gym, recruiting quality instructors and providing guidelines on appropriate clothing, Five Star is working to ensure a quality experience.
Facility
Five Star Gymnastics and Cheerleading is located in a 17,000 square foot facility that is home to a complete set of world class equipment (the most up to date in Northern Kentucky).
Some of the apparatus available at the gym include:
- An extensive set of Pre-School items
- Six sets of Bars
- Ten Balance Beams
- Four Trampolines
- Three Gymnastics/Cheer floors (one mirrored)
- Two Tumbling strips (60 feet and 80 feet)
- Two Vaulting Horses
- Three in-ground pits
- and more
Five Star is proud to be the only gym in Northern Kentucky to offer a Boys Program with a complete set of mens Olympic equipment: Rings, Pommel Horse, Parallel Bars, High Bars and other training apparatus.
Two separate viewing areas include large windows for viewing activities in the gym. Chairs are provided for your convenience.
The facility (gym, viewing areas, restrooms...) is cleaned on a regular basis to ensure a quality environment.
Instructors
Five Star Gymnastics and Cheerleading is proud of it's highly qualified and experienced instructors.
Our USA Gymnastics (USAG) certified instructors have been carefully selected and trained.
Members of our staff continue to attend seminars and clinics, keeping Five Star a leader in gymnastics and cheerleading.
Gym Attire
The appropriate attire helps to make each students visit to the gym a safe and satisfying experience. Please pay attention to the following:
- No Jewelry
- No Food in the gym (Gum...)
- Pre-class restroom visits are recommended for younger participants
- Hair should be pulled back for clear vision
- Bare feet for pre-school and gymnastics participants
- Gym shoes for tumbling and cheerleading programs
- Shorts and T-shirts work well for most programs
- Gym clothes (Leotards...) are recommended (but not required)
- Additional requirements exist for some of the more involved classes/programs
- Check with the coach or instructor for specifics
Accidents
The Five Star team works to provide a safe environment, but occasionally a student will get injured.
Five Star staff are all certified in CPR and First Aid.
If an accident does occur, ice is available on the premises and a phone is located in the gym.
Five Star relies on the membership forms for emergency contact information. Please ensure your information is up to date.
The staff is not qualified to practice medicine. Please consult your personal physician for appropriate medical care.
In the case of an emergency where a legal guardian is not available, emergency medical care may be requested by the staff. Consent to agree with this policy is a pre-requisite for enrollment at Five Star.
The staff will write up an accident report for each accident.
